These terms
These terms govern your use of HBM: the website, Proof of Memory (the in-browser memory measurement), the public results and the related pages. By using HBM you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use HBM.
The Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Disclosures form part of these terms.
What HBM is
HBM provides Proof of Memory, a measurement that runs WebGPU compute workloads in your browser for about a minute and measures how fast it can move data through your GPU's memory. Results can be published to public leaderboards and to The Stack, a public record of runs. HBM also records rewards points, takes requests for early access to HBM Enterprise, and shows information about $HBM, a token on Robinhood Chain.
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of HBM at any time.
Eligibility
You may use HBM only if you can form a binding agreement under the laws that apply to you. To connect a wallet, trade, or take part in any campaign, you must be at least 18 or the age of majority where you live, whichever is higher.
You may not use HBM if you are subject to sanctions or live in a place where using it, or any feature of it, would be unlawful.
Running the benchmark
A run allocates about 512 MiB of GPU memory and keeps your GPU busy for about a minute. Your device may get warm and its fans may speed up. The workload runs inside your browser's sandbox and stops when you cancel or close the tab. You run it at your own risk; close other demanding work first.
Results
Results are estimates of effective throughput measured in your browser. They are not manufacturer specifications, certified measurements or a guarantee of performance. Device classes are derived from what your browser reports and can be wrong.
Published results are public: the operator label, device class, measurements, MEM Score, MEMPRINT and date. We may flag, reclassify, reject, hide or remove any result that looks invalid or breaks these terms. See Validation for how runs are checked.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- modify, patch or interfere with the benchmark engine, its timing or the browser APIs it relies on;
- fabricate, alter or replay submissions, or reuse run tickets;
- automate runs or submissions, or run the benchmark from scripts, emulators or farms;
- spoof your device, renderer strings or form factor to enter a class you do not belong to;
- attack, overload, probe or scrape the service beyond reasonable use of the public API;
- impersonate HBM or anyone else, or use HBM for anything unlawful.
We may reject or remove results, forfeit points, and block access where we reasonably believe these rules were broken.
Your operator identity
HBM has no accounts. Your identity is a random key kept in your browser. Anyone with the key can act as your operator, and we cannot recover a lost key. Keep the recovery key from the Rewards page somewhere safe if you want to keep your ledger.
Rewards points
Points are entries in a ledger. They have no cash value, are not property, and cannot be sold, transferred or redeemed, unless a published campaign says otherwise, and then only under that campaign's own terms and where the law allows it.
We may change the rules, seasons and point values, correct errors, and reverse points earned by breaking these terms.
$HBM, wallets and third parties
$HBM is a token on Robinhood Chain launched through Pons. Trades run on smart contracts that HBM does not control: the Pons v2 bonding curve, and after graduation a Uniswap v4 pool. Robinhood Chain, Pons, wallet providers, Uniswap and Robinhood Stock Tokens are operated by others under their own terms.
HBM never holds your funds and never asks for your private keys or recovery phrases. When you trade $HBM, your wallet sends the transaction directly to the contracts. Blockchain transactions cannot be reversed. You are responsible for checking the contract address shown in the token docs, for network fees, for taxes, and for whether trading is legal where you live.
Read the Disclosures before trading.
No investment advice
Nothing on HBM is financial, investment, legal or tax advice, or an offer or solicitation to buy or sell any security, token or other asset. Market data on HBM may be delayed or wrong.
Intellectual property
The HBM software, design, text and graphics belong to their owners and are protected by law. You may share links to HBM, and screenshots and share images of your own results. You may not copy the service or suggest an affiliation that does not exist.
Company names on the Memory Economy page describe industry roles. Their use does not imply endorsement by, or affiliation with, those companies.
Public API
The routes documented in the API reference are provided as is, are rate-limited and may change without notice. Use them reasonably and do not use them to overload or misrepresent HBM.
Disclaimer of warranties
HBM is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, availability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that HBM will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, HBM and the people behind it are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, tokens or funds, or damage to devices, arising from your use of HBM, of third-party services, or of any token.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to one hundred US dollars. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify HBM against claims, losses and costs arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of HBM, to the extent the law allows.
Changes and termination
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using HBM after a change, you accept the updated terms.
You can stop using HBM at any time. We may suspend or end your access, and remove your results, if you break these terms or if we have to for legal reasons.
