Summary
HBM sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It keeps a few essential entries in your browser's local storage so the benchmark, your ledger and your wallet connection work. Optional analytics load only if you allow them.
Essential storage
These entries stay on your device. HBM needs them to work, so they are not covered by the consent choice.
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
mem.operator.v1 | Your random operator key: the identity your runs and points belong to. | Until you clear it |
mem.runs.v1 | Your most recent runs on this device (up to 50), for quick access. | Until you clear it |
mem.last.v1 | Your last result, to place your machine on the Economy ladder and calculator. | Until you clear it |
privy:* | Your wallet sign-in session, kept by Privy (with privy-* cookies) only after you connect a wallet or log in. | Until you log out |
hbm.consent.v1 | Your choice about optional analytics. | Until you change or clear it |
hbm.announce.* | Announcements you have dismissed. | Until you clear it |
Optional analytics
If you accept, HBM loads Vercel Web Analytics. It counts page views and referring sites in aggregate, uses no cookies and does not follow you across other sites. If you decline, it never loads. You can change your choice at any time with the button above.
Wallets and other sites
Wallet sign-in runs on Privy (privy.io). When you connect, Privy keeps your session in your browser under privy:* keys and privy-* cookies, under its own privacy policy; logging out clears them. Wallet extensions and apps you connect keep their own storage. Links to other sites, such as Pons or the Robinhood Chain explorer, take you to pages with their own cookie practices.
Clearing storage
You can clear HBM's storage in your browser's site settings. Clearing mem.operator.v1 removes your operator key from this browser: save the recovery key on the Rewards page first if you want to keep your ledger.
Changes
If HBM starts storing something new in your browser, this page will list it first. See the Privacy Policy for everything HBM stores on its servers.
